During my recent Tax Planning visits to investors, I met a large no. of people who last year invested in Infrastructure Bonds through some known or unknown agents and after that forgot to keep track of their investments. Either the servicing agent vanished or the Bond Certificate did not reach them at all. There were a large no. of cases in which the certificates got returned back to the issuers due to various reasons like incorrect entry of adresseses, failure of courier delivery, delivery to incorrect addresses etc.
